How to use your file
You have one file. Here is what to do with it.
Your reading arrived as a single Markdown file — a plain text document, ending in .md. You do not read it top to bottom. You hand it to an AI assistant and ask it questions, in your own words, for as long as you like.
1Save the file

3Attach it to a new chat
The + or paperclip beside the message box. Attach — never paste; a file this size gets cut off.
4Say hello and ask anything
It greets you, asks three short questions one at a time, then reads. You can also just ask your question straight away.
Pick where you are

One thing worth doing first
If you use ChatGPT or Claude, make a Project and put your file in it once. Every chat you start inside that project can see the file already — no re-attaching, and the assistant stops beginning from nothing each time. It is free on both.Steps for your phone ·for a computer.
Which app copes best with the whole chart
Every app reads your file, and every one of them is free to try. They differ in how much of a large document they can hold in view at once — which matters for the Complete file, and barely at all for a single-area one.
Claude
FreeHandles the Complete file best. Holds a large document in view at once, so answers that draw on several parts of your chart join up properly.
ChatGPT
Partly freeWorks well, with one difference: on a free plan it reads a file this large in parts rather than all at once, so it may miss a connection between two distant sections. Putting the file in a Project helps. A single-area file fits comfortably either way.
Gemini
Partly freeSame as ChatGPT on a free plan — it reads the Complete file in parts. Single-area files are a much better fit here.
Qwen
Partly freeReads the file, but we have tested it least. If an answer looks thin, ask it to quote the line it used.
All four read the file. This is about how much of it they hold at once.
If your assistant ever answers as though it has not seen part of your chart, ask it to quote the line it used. If it cannot, start a fresh chat and attach the file again.
Do I need to pay for ChatGPT or Claude?
Every assistant has a working memory — how much it can hold in view while it answers. Your file is large, and a bigger memory means more of it stays in view at the same time, so the answers join up: your work question and your timing question stop being two separate readings and start being one. That is what a paid plan buys here, and nothing else.
A free plan reads the same file and gives the same quality of answer to any one question. You will just restart the chat sooner in a long session — say “wrap up” first and carry the summary across. Start free, and upgrade only if you find yourself restarting often.
Phone or computer — does it matter?
A phone is completely fine, and plenty of people never use anything else. The only difference is length: phone chats fill up sooner, so a long session gets summarised and continued in a fresh chat. On a computer you can go for hours, keep several threads open, and save answers as you go. If you have both, start on the computer for the first deep read and use the phone for questions during the day.
Try it before your file arrives
This is a real Complete file, built for a made-up person called John Doe. Download it, attach it to any assistant, and see exactly how a session feels.
It is about 200 KB of text. Most of it is coded chart data, which is meant to look dense to you and read clearly to the assistant.
