Marriage is two charts. Read both properly.
A focused file answers your half. Two Complete files answer the union — because both period sequences run at once, and a marriage moves with whichever is louder.
On this page
The focused Marriage file does one job well. You want to know what your own chart says about partnership — how you attach, what the seventh house and its lord are holding, which periods have historically moved things for you. One person, one question, one file. That is the right purchase for a lot of people, and it is the cheaper one.
It is the wrong purchase for a different situation, and the difference is worth being clear about before you spend anything.
A marriage is two period sequences running at once
Every chart carries a dasha sequence — the stretches of life ruled by different planets, with dates. When one person marries another, neither sequence pauses. They run simultaneously, and the marriage moves with whichever one is louder at the time.
This is the part a single chart cannot tell you. Your file can say that your own next four years are structurally quiet for partnership. It cannot say that theirs are not. A year that reads as settled from one side and as upheaval from the other is the same year, and only one of those two readings is in the room.
What this is not. It is not a compatibility score. Nothing here produces a percentage, and we do not compute the thirty-six gunas as a verdict — what that system was actually for is a separate and more interesting question than what it is used for now.
Why the whole chart, and not just the marriage module
The focused files are deliberately walled. Each one states, on its own first page, that it covers its area and that the others are separate modules. That boundary is honest, and for a single question it is a feature.
It becomes a problem here, because a marriage does not stay inside the seventh house. The things that actually move a marriage in practice are mostly filed elsewhere:
Work periods. A promotion that relocates someone, or a career stretch that demands every evening for three years, is a marriage event. It is written in the tenth house and its timing.
Money and obligation. Debt pressure is one of the most reliable strains on a partnership, and it is read from the wealth-bearing houses, not from the seventh.
The karmic axis. The pattern a person keeps returning to — what they are pulled towards and what they discount — sits on Rahu and Ketu. It explains a great deal about who somebody chooses and why, and none of it is in a marriage module.
Two Complete files let a question cross between those. One asked across both charts — whose period is driving this, and what does the other one say about the same stretch — is the question people actually have, and it needs the whole chart on both sides to answer.
Each person orders their own file
This matters more than the discount. A file is computed from one person's birth details and is written about that person's chart. If your partner wants theirs read, they order it themselves, with their own details, and it arrives to them.
We do not produce a reading about somebody who did not ask for one. The private affairs of third parties sit outside every file by design, and that is not a policy we relax for a spouse or a prospective one. What you get is two files that two people can put side by side in the open — which is a different thing, and a better one, than a dossier on a person who never consented to being read.
Practically: order on the same page and twenty per cent comes off every person after the first. If you have not talked about it yet, how to raise it without it landing badly is worth reading first.
The same logic goes wider than a couple
Once you have seen that periods interact, the household is the obvious next case. The people closest to you are running their own sequences, and the loud ones land on everybody nearby.
A parent entering a long Saturn stretch changes what the family can absorb. A sibling in a Rahu period that pulls them abroad rearranges who is available for whom. A child's chart explains a great deal about which kind of pressure helps them and which kind does not. None of that is visible from your own chart alone, because from inside it the effect looks like circumstance.
The same rule applies: one file per person, each about their own chart, each ordered by the person it concerns — or by a parent for a child who cannot. The discount runs across the whole group rather than stopping at two.
What this cannot settle
Two whole charts will not tell you whether to marry somebody. They describe tendencies and they date periods; the decision stays yours, and any reading that pretends otherwise is selling certainty it does not have. They also cannot tell you what a person will choose — a chart is not a prediction of somebody else's free behaviour.
What they do is narrower and more useful. They tell you which years are structurally hard for each of you, whether those years overlap, what each chart says the strain will be about, and where the two accounts disagree. Disagreement is the valuable part. It is the thing a single file, read alone, quietly hides.
If you are only ever going to buy one file, buy the focused one and ask it your own question honestly. If two of you are deciding something together, two whole charts is the purchase that actually answers it — what the Complete file contains is listed in full before you pay.
