How to · every morning

A reading that arrives on its own

Your file carries period-by-period timing for your whole life, so it can tell you what today is made of. Some assistants will do that on a schedule without being asked.

Day-level timing is at its best with the five-year timing add-on. Without it your assistant still works the day out from the periods in your file and will say when a date could be a few days either way.

  1. 1Decide what you want each morning

One short prompt, saved once. The one below is a good starting point — change “150 words” or ask for a single sentence if you prefer.

  2. 2Set it to repeat

Each app does this differently, and two of the four charge for it. The cards below give the exact route for yours.

  3. 3Read it, then ask a follow-up

The reading arrives in the app. If something in it lands, open the chat and ask about it — that is where the value is.

ChatGPT

Free

The only one of the four where a genuinely automatic daily reading is free.

  1. Open the chat holding your file — ideally a Project, so the file is always there.
  2. Type: “Every morning, run this: ” followed by the prompt below.
  3. ChatGPT offers to make it a scheduled task. Accept.
  4. Free accounts get up to 3 active tasks, once a day, in a window — morning, afternoon or night — rather than an exact time. Exact times need a paid plan.

Claude

Paid plan only

Scheduled tasks exist but sit behind a paid plan (Pro and above), in Claude Cowork.

  1. On a paid plan: open Cowork, create a scheduled task, paste the prompt, set it to run daily.
  2. It runs in the cloud, so your laptop can be shut.

Free way to do the same thing: Put a daily alarm on your phone and keep the prompt saved in your notes. Paste it into your Claude Project each morning — about ten seconds, and the answer is identical.

Gemini

Paid plan only

Scheduled Actions are for paid tiers (Pro and Ultra) and some Workspace accounts, and are still rolling out to personal accounts.

  1. If you have it: ask Gemini to “do this every morning at 7am” with the prompt, and it creates a Scheduled Action.
  2. Paid accounts can keep about ten of these running at once.

Free way to do the same thing: A phone alarm plus the saved prompt. You will have to re-attach your file, since Gemini has no Project to keep it in.

Qwen

Not available

No scheduling feature we could find.

Free way to do the same thing: A phone alarm plus the saved prompt, attaching your file to a fresh chat.

Honestly, is it worth setting up?

It is worth it if you will act on it — a morning line about what the day favours is useful when it changes what you schedule. It is not worth it as another notification you swipe away. If you are not sure, do it by hand for a week first. That costs nothing and tells you the answer.
