What kind of text this is

Author self-identifies as Varahamihira Sutha at the end of every chapter. Foreword states the translation is NOT verbatim - ‘conveys the spirit of the original author’.

What it contributed

dasha-effects-primacy — novel. Eleven of thirty-two chapters on period effects, one per planet plus sub-periods.

The corpus’s dedicated timing manual. Use for period reading; it deliberately omits foundations.

ashtakavarga-for-periods — novel. Ashtakavarga applied to dasha delivery, not only transit support.

A technique the vault computes but does not apply this way. Real gap.

translator-dependence — novel. Foreword concedes the translation is not verbatim; the same translator rendered BPHS and Saravali.

Deflates corroboration counts. Independence must be measured in translators, not files.
