The three registers
One root, read at three levels. These are our derivations, not printed anywhere: each one has to follow from the root word above, and a reading that cannot be traced back to it is the fluff this method exists to remove.
Material. Vehicles, comfort, luxury, art, and the money spent on pleasure rather than survival. Also partnership as an economic arrangement - dowry, joint assets, what a marriage costs and pays.
Mental. Desire itself, and taste - the faculty that prefers. Attraction, aesthetics, and the ability to be pleased. A weak Venus is not celibacy; it is difficulty being satisfied by what is actually available.
Spiritual. The path through desire rather than against it. Venus is the shukra of the essence verse - potency - and its spiritual register is bhoga taken seriously: what you love reveals what you are made of.
