The short answer: a chart can name three or four structural reasons a marriage arrives late, and it can date the periods in which the pressure eases. It cannot tell you that the delay is a punishment, a curse, or something a ritual will lift — and most delay, in most lives, has causes that no chart is required to explain.

Of everything on that list, Saturn on the seventh house is the factor most likely to be present and the most likely to be mis-sold. Saturn’s signification is not denial. It is time, weight, structure, and the refusal of shortcuts. On a partnership axis it reads as: this consolidates when it is built, not when it is wanted.

Read that way, a “late” marriage is the expected output of the placement rather than evidence that something has gone wrong. The tradition is reasonably consistent that partnerships formed under a strong Saturn last, precisely because they were not formed on momentum.

What a delay reading should actually produce

A useful reading of this question answers four things and refuses the fifth:

  • Which of the factors above are present in your chart, and which are not.
  • Whether the periods governing partnership have run yet, with dates.
  • When the next supported window opens and how long it stays open.
  • What is worth doing inside that window, in plain language.
  • And not: a wedding date, a remedy that unlocks one, or a claim about a person whose chart it has never seen.
